  1. Good morning I found your site by following Dr. Jade
    and been looking for some type of plan to get myself healthy weight has been
    an issue for me all of my life only normal weight I’ve seen was when I was born
    now at 350 I’m tried of life passing me bye I have thyroid problems on Meds and blood pressure Meds also and dealing with depression I guest I want to know how to keep motivation cause I’m doing this alone no support because they don’t understand or think everything has to do with willpower any advice would be appreciated and thank you for listening.

      Hi Cecilia,

      thanks for reaching out! I know how tough it is when nothing you do seems to make much of a difference. That’s the reason I started this website – to let people know that they’re not alone and help them educate themselves.

      I think that would be my first bit of advice to you, don’t give up and educate yourself! I would highly recommend getting Jade’s book Lose Weight Here. I have to say, when I first read it, my jaw wouldn’t stay shut. It explained so much. Why I lost weight easily in my 20s. Why it kept coming back on. Why now in my 40s, trying to lose weight was so frustrating. Nothing I did made much of a difference.

      The other resource to check out is Mark Sisson’s website. Work your way through the Primal Blueprint 101, about halfway down the page. He is an amazing character and gives away pretty much all his knowledge for free.

      The first thing I did after reading my way through his website was reduce the amount of grains I was eating. That made a huge difference to my mood – I went from sugar rollercoaster to fairly steady unless I succumb to marzipan croissants :) Then I feel bad again for a while, but at least I know why I feel bad. Over time, that’s a great motivator!
